Craig-Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens is the only Independent, Family-owned and Operated, Perpetual Care Cemetery in Flagler County. The Cemetery is rich with history and it was formerly named, Hope Cemetery which has several
pioneers of Flagler County interred within.
The cemetery was then renamed when the County asked the funeral home, which is located on the cemetery grounds, to assume care and possession of the now Craig-Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

The red bricks which line the main road entrance of the cemetery were once a part of the “Old Brick Road” which The Cemetery offers many burials, entombment and memorial options for families. The Old Brick Road extends for a distance of eleven miles between S.R. 204 and the rural community of Espanola. The northern two miles of the road are located in St. Johns County while the remaining

portion is located in Flagler County. The road was part of the Dixie Highway which stretched from Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan south to Miami Beach, Florida. The road is composed of a packed shell foundation topped with a nine-foot wide brick roadbed and four-inch wide concrete curbs, flanked by three-foot wide shell shoulders for a total width of fifteen feet. The road construction was part of a sixty-six mile project completed in 1916 by St. Johns County.

Craig-Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens has six sections for families to select for ground burial of casketed remains or cremains (ashes). They are Sacred Heart, Veterans, Garden of Peace (Jewish), Garden of Love (double depth, lawn crypts), Garden of Memory (Non-Denominational) and the newly opened Gardens of Angels and Prayer (both Non-Denominational).All ground spaces are for
single interments, with the exception of the Garden of Love, which is for two interments. Upright Granite markers are permitted in the cemetery, except for the following sections which only allow for flat bronze markers, Gardens of Love, Peace, Sacred Heart and Veterans section.  Also offered are Memorial Cremation Benches, where up to three sets of cremated remains may be placed. Memorial cremation Benches can be seen throughout the grounds.

We also offer, for those who prefer above ground burial, three Mausoleum Buildings. We offer single entombment spaces and tandem (for two) spaces. Two of our three Mausoleums have the ability to house cremains in niches. These are the Mausoleum of Memory and Mausoleum of Angels "II".All the niches are true companion niches, meaning

they can hold two urns in one niche space. The Mausoleum of Angels "I" does not have niche spaces. The Mausoleum of Angels "I" is to be a five building area with two phases already completed.
